Will your school software work with Vista?
As Windows XP comes to an end, look ahead ..
On June 30th, Microsoft stopped selling Windows XP licenses. Some PC and laptop manufacturers continue to supply systems with XP installed, because they know it will give them a competitive edge against those that don't. However, the price of those systems is likely to be higher, so schools have to face the fact that if they want to continue using Microsoft platforms, they will gradually need to migrate towards a Vista network.
So, will your school software work with Vista?

The results are based upon feedback from the software manufacturer, not by testing the software. It should also be noted that few of the education specific programs below appear in the lists published by Microsoft of software "Certified for Windows Vista" or which "Works with Windows Vista". This status is earned by a testing program run according to strict standards set out by Microsoft. Most smaller education software vendors won't have time or resources to do this, so it's not something to place too much weight on, but being in these lists should give you a level of comfort. If your software isn't on the list, please email me the name and I will contact the manufacturer for you at no charge.
